Our mission for care
Our values have been formulated with our teams and the individuals we support, its really important for us to ensure that everyone was involved in developing our values. This helps us to align our thinking and ensure that we understand the ethos of care and support that is required from our individuals and staff team. You can only embrace values that you have been a part of developing and this ensures the thought processes are aligned at grass roots from all people at Happy Futures
Our Values
- Improving Quality of life
By involving the individual in the decisions about how they live their lives, while looking after their best interests, enables them to feel empowered. Activities are undertaken which provide both engagement and development of the individual. This in turn enhances and aims to improve their quality of life.
2. Developing and building new skills
Both Individuals and staff are encouraged to develop themselves. From an Individual making their own breakfast, to a staff member achieving work-based qualifications. These form the building blocks and foundations of continuous improvement.
3. Partnership and working in co-production
We aim to work closely with all our industry partners and alongside these partnerships ensuring that the culture of co-production is understood by all parties, conversations are open and honest, are clearly understood, using both plain language and where necessary pictures, and all individuals have an equal say.
4. Exceeding Expectations
Can we all do better? Can the individual, with help, do more for themselves? The answer to both in most cases is Yes. Strive every day to do better than your previous best. We aim to continually progress and make improvements in every area of the business by introducing new systems and technology. We work with individuals, their families and local communities striving to exceed expectations in everything we do.
5. Empowerment
The individuals we support have choices. Their voice is important in how we grow the business. Staff also have a voice and are integral in providing both support to the individuals and sustaining the business.
6. Celebrating Success
We want the individuals we support to celebrate their success and the staff to feel valued and appreciated for their contributions. When we celebrate small achievements together the journey, future goals and aspirations become easier to achieve. Our team members work with individuals on their personal person-centred journey. Our staff team also celebrate their success in their own personal development. Development and achievements are paramount for moving forward in all aspects of developing their skills and knowledge.
